A proposed crossing patrol on Dukes Road serving Trinity High is set to get the go-ahead.
Members of South Lanarkshire Council’s Road Safety Forum are expected to rubber stamp the decision tomorrow (Thursday).
However, two requests for patrols serving Hallside and St Charles’ primaries are expected to be knocked back.
Councillors will be told that the Trinity crossing, on Dukes Road at the junction with Glenside Drive, exceeded the threshold required for a patroller to be put in place.
The council uses a complex criteria involving the number of children and number of cars recorded in the busiest 10 minute period, with a score of or above 100 per cent required.
