The project was coordinated by teacher James Kane.
He said: Everything went fantastically well.
The CD was a sell-out. There was a great demand for it, as all of the classes have played their part in making it.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the concert. It raised about s400 for the school, which was great.
There was quite a lot of talent there, to be honest, and there wasnt a dry eye in the house after some of the performances.
The project wasnt just about finding singers for the CD, as the children also had to design the album cover, selecting who was going to sing on the CDs 12 spots, and then selling the CD. For every CD sold, a donation was made to the school.
The winner of the competition to design the CD cover was primary six pupil Scott Kelly, whose winning artwork impressed the judges.
Mr Kane added: I think we will do the same again next year with another set of superstars. Its been a great experience, and we would love to do it again in the future.
I think more of the kids will want to be involved. This year there were quite a few of them who were too shy to get up and sing, and now theyre asking if they can be involved next time, which is great.
