Grandmaster
Flash and the Furious Five were one of the most influential hip hop
groups of all time, and became the first hip hop act to be inducted into
the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame back in 2007.
Their track The Message is widely regarded as one of the greatest hip hop tracks of all time.
The
group disbanded in 1987, and Grandmaster Flash has gone on to enjoy a
successful solo career, releasing 11 albums, with a 12th effort set for
release in the spring.
Audrey
herself is a fan of the group. She said: “We’ve supported quite a few
big names in the past year and a half but this one might just top it.”
Hector
Bizerk released their debut album, Drums Rap Yes, last year, and
headlined shows at the likes of King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, while a recent
gig at Nice N’ Sleazys saw them debut new material. The duo have already
supported DOOM and The GZA (Wu-Tang Clan) in Glasgow.
Tickets for the show are priced at £13 and are on sale now from the venue and www .gigsinscotland.com.
