Money has been raised for a children’s charity in the name of a brave Cambuslang lad.
Margaret Inglis and Melanie Callaghan hosted the charity event last Friday with singers, raffles and an auction raised £1400 in the name of 11-year-old Laughlan Dougall of Langcroft Park, Halfway,who suffers from a frontal lobe arachnoid cyst and hydrocephalus, water on the brain.
Royal Mail Hamilton, raised £200 as part of the total through staff member Matt Graham.
The youngster, who is an avid Celtic supporter and Scotland FC fan had undergone more than 40 operations including removing a bone in his skull and draining fluid to relieve pressure on the brain.
The evening was supported by many local Lanarkshire businesses who were happy to donate prizes and money.
