Camglen radio station is back on the airwaves

CAMBUSLANG and Rutherglen’s community radio station will be back on the airwaves until the middle of next month it has been announced this week. Camglen will be live on air until midnight on Monday, December 14. Available again on 87.7fm and www.camglenradio.org, the popular community radio station is back for a sixth broadcast. This time around there are even more community members volunteering to fill the many varied roles for the station. With over 70 local people dedicating their time to Camglen there's no shortage of local skill and knowledge available. Story continues ADVERTISEMENT A spokesperson for the station said that Camglen is a radio station made by the community, for the community and run by the Cambuslang and Rutherglen Community Health Initiative. Local community groups and their activities within the local area continue to be a feature of the broadcasts. Interesting people from many different organisations will be dropping in for the regular interview slots throughout the day of each broadcast. More information will also broadcast regularly by the station in the form of recorded community messages. The spokesperson added that with a live broadcast from 8am until 10pm Monday to Thursday and until midnight Friday to Sunday, there will be something for everyone throughout the Rutherglen and Cambuslang areas to une into and enjoy!
