Bra boss fills model’s cup to help support charity effort

KING’S PARK model and former Miss Scotland Stephanie Willemse has urged bosses to support Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Lovely Stephanie, who originally grew up in Burnside, was speaking as bra tycoon Michelle Mone helped to launch the event, which calls on business bosses to make their staff tea and coffee for a change.

And to prove they were serious, Stephanie was able to sit back with a cuppa after Michelle, creator of Ultimo, put on the kettle.

Stephanie was modelling Ultimo’s new summer range, following in the footsteps of stars such as Rachel Hunter, Sarah Harding and Mel B.

And she was delighted to see her boss waiting on her for a change: “As a model I’m not normally used to having bosses of huge lingerie firms making me coffee. It was nice to have Michelle at my beck and call for a change and she makes a mean cup of coffee!

“I hope lots of people take part in Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. The charity has so many services that people really rely on and if all we need to do to fund them is enjoy a cup of coffee we don’t really have an excuse not to get involved.”

Macmillan hope to raise £8 million from the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. The money will fund the charity's vital services, ranging from specialist nurses and doctors to support and advice for people who have financial problems because of their cancer.

Michelle, who recently starred in the hit BBC show The Apprentice, said: “I think Macmillan's World's Biggest Coffee Morning is the perfect time for employers to get the kettle on to show their staff how much they're appreciated, while also raising money for a great cause.

“One in three people in the UK will get cancer and a massive two million people in the country have been diagnosed with the illness.

“Sharing a coffee with your work colleagues or even at home with friends is an extremely easy way to raise money to fund Macmillan's fantastic services – services that, unfortunately, a great many of us will need at some point in our lives.”

Macmillan's fundraising manager in Glasgow City Rob Cartwright, added: “We hope that employers and employees from around Glasgow can enjoy themselves and follow the example of Michelle and Stephanie by taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

“We need to raise more this year than ever before so I would urge everyone to join the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 25 September and help Macmillan reach more people affected by cancer. Make your coffee count!”
