Villagers opposed to a planned coal mine have held a march to protest against the development.
Locals in Cousland, Midlothian, were joined by environmental campaigners in the protest against the open cast mine at nearby Airfield Farm.
Midlothian Council is considering the application by Scottish Coal, who want to extract around two million tonnes of coal from the 154-hectare site over five years.
