A man has been arrested in connection with the death of another man who was found in a village street following a disturbance.
The body of the 25-year-old deceased man was found in Bruce Street, in the village of Plean near Stirling, in the early hours of Saturday morning.
One man has been arrested in connection with this incident and is expected to appear in court at Stirling on Monday.
Central Scotland Police Detective Inspector Dougie Telfer, who is leading the investigation, said: "Police received a number of telephone calls from members of the public in the early hours of this morning, alerting us to a disturbance in the village.
"Officers responded quickly and found the body of the man.
"I am appealing for any member of the public who witnessed any incident in Plean, particularly in the Bruce Street area from mid-evening onwards last night, to contact us as soon as possible."
