He was then last seen leaving the Gala Casino on Sauchiehall Street just after midnight where he handed his wallet and phone to reception staff and left the premises. The duty manager of the casino then called Strathclyde Police to report this to officers.
The police operation took place on the same day as Mr Ramsay's mother Sandra, 56, made a desperate plea for information to help find her son.
Mr Ramsay requires daily medication for depression and anxiety but is known not to have this medication with him, according to police, who consider him to be a vulnerable person.
Mr Ramsay is slim, 6ft and has auburn, shoulder-length straight hair. He was wearing a grey bomber-style jacket with black lining and hood, light-blue bleached jeans which were ripped at the bottom and grey hi-top trainers when he went missing. His disappearance from his home in Maryhill has been described as "completely out of character".
Strathclyde Police have asked anyone with information as to where Mr Ramsay is to contact Maryhill police office on 0141 532 3700.
