Fatal rail incident hits services

Rail services have been disrupted during Tuesday evening's rush hour after a person was struck and killed by a train.
British Transport Police (BTP) said the incident happened at about 6.30pm near Renton station in Dunbartonshire.
It involved the 6.23pm service from Balloch to Airdrie.
Paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service also attended, but the casualty was pronounced dead at the scene.
ScotRail said the line between Dumbarton Central and Balloch was blocked and replacement buses were organised.

A BTP spokesman said the death was not being treated as suspicious.
A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
