Appeal over street collapse man

01:25, Feb 16 2013

A man found lying on a city street has died in hospital a week later.

John Innes Irvine, 50, was discovered collapsed in King Street, Aberdeen, last Friday and died a week later at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, police said.

Grampian Police says there are no apparent suspicious circumstances but is seeking information to trace his movements that day.

Police would like to speak to a man who saw Mr Irvine lying outside the King`s Bar and told staff in the pub.

Another man who was seen in area at the time Mr Irvine collapsed may have information. He is 6ft with short dark hair and wore a dark jacket, light trousers and dark shoes.

Officers would also like to speak to any friends or people who may know Mr Irvine who could help police piece together his movements last Friday.

Anyone with information can contact Grampian Police on 0845 600 5700.
