Isa and the Filthy Tongues, 'New Town Killers'

Kind of new to Isa and the Filthy Tongues, I was quite taken aback by the band name at first. Sounded like they needed a dentist or some medical attention at least.

Isa and the Filthy Tongues

Fears of mouth disease aside, this Edinburgh band have added a great sound to one of Scotland’s most promising movies in years, New Town Killers.

Listening to the title track, New Town Killers, we’re thrusted into a physcedelic mix of early 70s rock music and a magical indie blast.

The vocals sound relaxed, whilst the song’s rhythm is pacey and usually this sounds poor, but this isn’t the case with New Town Killers.

It’s fitting that an Edinburgh band should do the movie’s song, and although they maybe relatively unheard of, they have done an excellent job here. Well done Isa and the Filthy Tongues.
