Michelle McManus, who has recently appeared on STV’s The Hour Show, has snubbed celebrity trainers and magazine offers of fitness plans, to join the gym on Hamilton Road – and she says local is best.
Speaking exclusively to the Advertiser about the last part of her weight-loss journey, Michelle said: “Weight-loss has been very much a massive piece of my career, and I have stayed the same weight now for about two years now.
“I have been given various personal training offers in London and getting sent away to boot camp, but I have always been a great believer that if you want to do something, you need to do it yourself and put the effort in.”
Literally after meeting Ros and after two sessions, I was like ‘oh my god, I think I can actually do this and actually get down to the weight I want to be at.”
She added: “I am coming to Hamilton every other day to lose weight and it will be down to Ros that this last part of my weight-loss journey actually happens.
“I have only been doing the workout for two months and I have dropped a dress size already.”
Ros is delighted that Michelle has chosen a local gym and is pleased with her progress.
She said: “I am delighted that Michelle has chosen us to complete her weight-loss journey.
“You can really see a difference in Michelle’s fitness levels since she has started - she is so strong and just focuses and gets through it.
“I have personal trained for a number of years and have trained a lot of footballers wives and personalities such as Clyde One’s Suzie McGuire.”
She added: “I developed the fitness regime by myself as a lot of the exercises, I didn’t believe in – with my plan, individuals are able to change their body much more quickly.”
