“But if you look at the sort of players they have, the quality they have, they’re the sort of team you’d expect to have been challenging for a playoff place at the start of the season.
“They’ve had some players out too, but I think they’ll have some of them back for us.
“So we know that they’ll be a tough team.
“Ross County had a game off on Saturday so they’re now off the top of the table, but if they win their game in hand they’ll be back top.
“They’re two tough games hard on the heels of each other.

Billy added: “It’s frustrating when a game is called off as you’re always up for a game but we were told on Friday afternoon, so we were able to make plans and not travel down.
“It’s always a bit disappointing but we expected it with the way the weather was.
“We’ll obviously take our suspensions forward, so Trouten is now out for Ayr.
“And Agostini would have missed out on Saturday with a thigh strain, so we’ll see how he is.”
Kick-off for the Ross County game this Saturday afternoon is at 3pm.
