SCOTT McLAUGHLIN has moved into second spot in the race to become Airdrie United player of the year.

by Colin Paterson, Airdrie & Coatbridge Advertiser
The ex-Morton midfielder claimed the man-of-the-match accolade despite an own goal in the 2-1 defeat at Partick Thistle.
In the Albion Rovers version of the competition, on-loan Clyde midfielder Marc McCusker collected three points on his debut.
None of the leading lights picked up points with those further down the standings taking centre stage.
At the end of the season, the best performers at Airdrie and Rovers will be presented with a trophy.
The awards are kindly sponsored by the Gillespie Investment Group.
