The Grapevine, in the centre of the attractive conservation village of Bothwell, is run by Morris Inns who have developed the business to suit customersÂ’ particular tastes. Customers can enjoy anything from a light snack to more formal dining, where a good choice of menu items is on offer, yet still enjoy a relaxed atmosphere.
Be sure to try the Arbroath smokie fish cakes with a smoked Orkney sabayon, as a starter. The roast haunch of venison set on Arran mustard mash with a red wine and bitter chocolate jus is a wonderfully rich main course. And for dessert, the sweet glazed honey apples complemented by butterscotch cream is an excellent choice.
