Stylish, chic, modern and classy. Not always words associated with Indian restaurants, but the Blue Rupee in Hamilton seems to be a rare exception.
There's a lack of quality Indian restaurants in Lanarkshire. Restaurants that would rival the likes of Crème de la Crème and the Café India in Glasgow but the Blue Rupee in Campbell Street, Hamilton is emerging as top contender for the crown of king Indian.
Serving authentic Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine for over five years, the Blue Rupee is the perfect place to sample a top notch Chicken Tikka Masala or a succulent Lamb Bhoona.
Their menu includes such delicious dishes as Creamy Ceylon Style Quarma (available in chicken breast, seasonal vegetable, or fresh prawns) and Pilou Stir Fried Basmati served with a traditional Sauce (available in chicken or fresh prawns).
As well as this they also serve traditional British food, just incase you're not a total spice-lover! And the food is all priced reasonably.
A four course pre-theatre dinner can cost as little as £9.95 between 4pm and 7pm and the Blue Rupee have a deal with the 5pm website so you can get discount offers via the world wide web.
The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner but if you don't fancy venturing out then they also operate a takeaway service.
