You're thinking; let's go out and have a nice meal at a restaurant. But seldom do you think that the nice restaurant will be in a hotel.
Within the Tudor Hotel in Airdrie lies the aptly named Oak Room, which is covered in lovely-varnished oak that creates a relaxing and peaceful ambience. The restaurant, which requires a reservation in advance, is open to the public and has both set and a la carte menus.
From vegetarian food like mushroom stroganoff to gorgeous salmon, chicken and pasta, the Oak Room has it all. The restaurant can seat 120 and can accommodate any party up to that number.
The present owners have been in charge of the hotel since 1994 and in 1996 they won an award for most improved business in the Licence Trade News.
The restaurant prices range from around £10.95 for a main course on the a la carte menu to around £13.95 from the set menu.
