The Bouzy Rouge bistros have style. A confident use of colour has the walls splashed with mosaics in hot Mediterranean hues. The furniture, now a signature feature of the restaurants, is specially designed and handcrafted in wood and wrought iron. Bright and sassy, the surroundings create a vibrant backdrop to the buzzy atmosphere and informal dining ethic at the Bouzy.
The food matches the interior being colourful, eclectic and having flavoursome appeal. The cooking is modern Scottish, and the menus are compiled by both proprietor Alan Brown and the head chef.
Prices vary which allows the customer flexibility and choice - from business lunches and casual dining to a gourmet menu.
The gourmet menu includes dishes like grilled polenta with the finest cured Italian Proscuitto served with marinaded black olives and parmesan shavings, or roast breast of Perthshire Pheasant served with green lentils, lardons of smoked bacon and a rich game sauce.
You can also choose from more casual snacks like penne pasta carbonara or chicken Caesar salad.
