Merlin McFly's in the Quadrant Centre, Coatbridge is a stylish bar and restaurant that attracts a cool crowd and is popular every day of the week.
The food ranges from Tex-Mex cuisine to normal bar food like baked potato's and burgers and the menu changes all the time.
During the day the crowd is a mixture of working people, families and students from Coatbridge College and in terms of entertainment there is something on at McFly's every night.
Mondays and Wednesdays are the karaoke nights and Tuesdays are band nights where a different band plays each night. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays sees the resident DJ thrashing out some house music with requests and some cheesy stuff too, just depending on the mood of the crowd.
Sundays also plays host to a DJ and there is a popular quiz which happens on that night as well. To accompany these great nights there are excellent drinks promos also, ranging from beer at £1 and doubles for singles.
The promos are split into day and night promos with the switch taking place at 8pm. The glass window with the picture of Merlin in it proudly states - 'let the good times roll' - and Merlin McFly's certainly knows how to do that.
