The Scavaig bar on Bank Street, Coatbridge, is one of the hottest bars in Lanarkshire and if you're looking for the night to progress beyond the pub then you only need to venture upstairs to find The Loft, a second to none club.
The bar offers top quality beers, wines, spirits and food at competitive prices. A former Royal Bank, the place has been completely transformed over the last few months with hardwood floors, ceramic tiles, stone walls and a stone fireplace in the main bar.
Upstairs The Loft - for over 21's - features internally illuminated glass tables and the state of the art sound and light systems.
Katie Watson, the area manager, says of the new bar and club: "We want to attract a wide range of ages and hopefully when people come they will be impressed. It's really different and we have a host of activities lined up every night of the week."
In the bar happy hour is on Monday to Saturday between 11am and 7pm and 12.30pm to 7pm on Sunday which means bottles and pints of Carlsberg and Calders/- are £1.50. Mondays are quiz nights with Tuesdays and Wednesdays dedicated to the footie - Champions League and World Cup qualifiers with happy hour extended until closing time.
